Capacity Issues

By 2016, DPS has projected that it will need additional capacity in its elementary schools in Far Northeast and Southeast Denver. DPS is planning to spend the majority of the $119 million allocated for new schools to add high school and middle school seats, when there is NO projected need for those seats in any part of Denver.
